The Heart Behind The Watson Ray
The Watson Ray began as a vision long before it became a venue.
For years, the building and property sat along Hwy 16 with so much untapped potential. Where many people saw an old, forgotten space, I saw something different. I saw beauty. I saw families gathering, flowers blooming, gardens growing, weddings being celebrated, birthday candles being blown out, bonfires glowing, markets coming to life, and a place where people in our community could come together and make memories.
More than anything, I saw a place where stories could be told, where families could slow down, where laughter could linger a little longer, and where people could simply be present with one another. A place for celebrations, quiet moments, big milestones, and the simple joy of being together.
What started as a dream has slowly become something real through faith, hard work, prayer, patience, and a whole lot of vision. The Watson Ray is being created to be more than just an event space. It is being built to become a peaceful, beautiful place where people can celebrate life’s special moments, feel welcomed, and enjoy the simple beauty of being together.
A Garden Venue, Flower Farm, and Community Gathering Space
The Watson Ray is being created as a garden venue, flower farm, orchard, and gathering space in Denham Springs/St. Helena Parish near the Watson community.
Our vision is to offer a beautiful setting for weddings, showers, birthdays, family gatherings, vendor events, seasonal celebrations, photo sessions, and community experiences. As the property continues to grow, so will the gardens, flowers, fruit trees, event areas, and opportunities for families to gather here.
We are currently opening in phases, beginning with outdoor event rentals and garden-inspired gatherings while additional venue spaces and amenities are completed.
Why We’re Building This
I have always been someone who could see the beauty in something before it was fully there. The Watson Ray is one of those dreams that I carried in my heart before it made sense on paper.
I wanted to create a place where families could slow down, celebrate together, and feel welcomed. A place where children could run around, flowers could grow, couples could begin their marriage, families could gather for milestones, and the community could have a beautiful space to enjoy.
The Watson Ray is being built with love, purpose, and the belief that beautiful things can grow from places that were once overlooked.

Growing in Phases
The Watson Ray is opening in phases, with 2026 focused on our Phase One outdoor experience. During this early stage, we are offering outdoor event rentals while continuing to develop the property, gardens, and future indoor/outdoor venue amenities.
Our founding clients will have the opportunity to enjoy special introductory pricing during this early phase and become part of the story as The Watson Ray continues to grow.
Meet the Visionary
Hi, I’m Megan — the visionary behind The Watson Ray.
I’m a wife, mom, child development specialist, builder of big dreams, and someone who truly loves creating spaces where people feel welcomed. The Watson Ray is a reflection of so many things I care about: family, faith, flowers, community, and turning a vision into something real.
This project has taken prayer, patience, and a lot of work, but I believe deeply in what this place can become. I’m so excited to welcome families, couples, vendors, and the community into this space as it grows.
I also could not tell this story without thanking my mom. She has been right beside me through so much of this journey — physically tearing down walls, pruning vines, helping choose paint colors, finding treasures onside of the road to repurpose, and teaching me how to be even half the visionary she is. She is truly amazing in what she is capable of, and I am so grateful to have her by my side as The Watson Ray comes to life.
